If you are on the lookout for making some eggless bakes, then this recipe is the one to go for as it is a no fail recipe. Every time I make this cake, it turns out to be super rich and delicious.

Some points to be noted before you start baking this cake:

  • Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 175 C before putting your cake tin inside, it's a must.
  • Prepare your tins, by placing a butter paper and then greasing it with butter, this ensures a smooth finish.
  • Remember to sift together the dry ingredients thrice, very important!
  • To ensure the cake is fully done, insert a toothpick in the centre of the cake and it should come out clean, or else bake for another few minutes.
  • This recipe yields 2 - 6" cakes or 1 - 8" cake
