sugarcane juice recipe with step by step instructions made at home using your regular mixer.
though I love the taste of the freshly made sugarcane juice from the street vendors using the heavy extracting machine, but due to hygienic reasons I don't prefer having it. hence, I end up making at home.
1. Peel the hard outer skin of the sugarcane and chop into small pieces.
2. Add it to the mixer along with ginger and water and grind it.
3. Now drain the extract with a strainer and squeeze with your hands to extract all the juice. Place a bowl underneath to hold the juice.
4. Now strain the juice collected in the bowl twice or thrice so that small sugarcane particles are removed and juice is clear.
5. Add sugar, salt and lemon and stir till dissolved.
6. Pour in serving glasses, add ice cubes and serve immediately.
