  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • a bunch of coriander leaves
  • few mint leaves
  • 1-2 crushed black pepper

Directions for making almond filled chicken mince kabab recipe

1. In a pan add chicken, chana dal, potato, onion, ginger garlic paste, cinnamon stick, cloves, black pepper corns, whole red chillis, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, salt and 2 cups water. Cover and cook till chicken is done and all water evaporates, there should not be any moisture content. Remove in a bowl and let it cool down.

2. Place the chicken mixture in a chopper, add egg white and mince to a smooth dough. Remove and keep aside.

3. Now let's make the filling, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, black pepper corns in a mixer and blend. Now add chopped almonds and pulse it only once as we do not want the almonds into a paste.

4. Grease your hand with oil and take a ball of chicken mixture and flatten between your palms, place a teaspoon of the almond filling in the centre and bring the sides of the tikki to the centre making into a round kabab. Press between your palms to give a nice round tikki shape. Repeat till all the ingredients are used up.

5. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the kababs on medium heat till they turn golden brown. Flip and fry the other side as well.

6. Your almond filled chicken minced kababs are ready, remove and serve with ketchup or garlic sauce.
