Rooh Afza is a very well known brand in the Indian market and one of my favorite summer drink. I usually enjoy it in the form of a lemonade by adding few spoons of rooh afza concentrate in a glass of chilled water and few drops of lemon juice. I also use it to flavor my desserts.

Rooh afza is basically a concentrated syrup made from several ingredients like herbs, fruits, vegetables, flowers and roots which are popularly believed to be a cooling agent. It derives its name from the word rooh which means soul and afza meaning that which nourishes, so it is basically a soul nourishing drink.

Rooh afza can be used in a variety of ways, like adding in water, milk, yoghurt, icecreams, kulfi, falooda or any desserts. This syrup adds a sweet and aromatic flavor to your recipes.

Today I'm going to share the recipe of Rooh Afza milkshake which we prepare during Ramadan. You can also add soaked sabza seeds in it if you like. Addition of crushed nuts is optional but it gives a royal taste.
